Praying the Rosary: There is a sign-up sheet in the back of the church for anyone wishing to “Pray the Rosary” during the month of October. Please prayerfully consider serving the parish.
Rev. Fr. Jerry E. Wirth – R.I.P. – We offer prayers for the repose of the soul of Rev. Fr. Jerry E. Wirth. Some years ago he was pastor here at St. Rose of Lima Church. May he rest in peace.

Fall Bible Study: With the arrival of October comes the time to prepare for our Fall Bible Study. We will, as in years past, meet for the six weeks before Thanksgiving and before the Advent season begins. Bible study will begin on Monday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m. and meet every Monday through November 25. This time we will meet at St. Patrick Parish Hall in Cairo instead of at St. Raphael Hall in Mounds. If you are interested in attending, please call the parish, drop a note in the collection, or call Mary Helen at 734-4316 or 534-0047.
We pray for the repose of the soul of Mary Ann Mowell who passed away Monday, September 30th. She was a member of St. Patrick Parish. We pray that God will grant her eternal rest and peace. We also pray for all her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
Knights of Columbus Members will meet on Monday, October 7 at St. Raphael Hall in Mounds starting at 5:30 p.m.
St. Patrick Parish Council Meeting will be on Wednesday, October 9, at St. Patrick Hall starting at 6:00 p.m.
BDCCW Convention will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at St. Michael’s Church, 4576 Buss Branch Road, Paderborn, IL stating at 8:00 a.m.
