Here are the announcements from the June 23 St. Rose of Lima bulletin. The complete bulletin can be found on the St. Rose of Lima bulletins page.
COPE needs saltine crackers: This month COPE is asking for saltine crackers. Don Harper reported a record breaking number of families needed help through COPE’s food pantry last month. The need in our community is great, so please give generously as you are able.
Hope Unlimited: Thank you so much for your generosity. We collected $300.16 through Hope Unlimited’s Baby Bottle Campaign this year. All of these funds are used locally to help women and their children in crisis. They provide free pregnancy tests, parenting classes, a learn to earn program, and a thrift store. They are truly a blessing to our community.
The Catholic Service and Ministry Appeal . . . providing hope, offering help and answering prayers: A special thanks to everyone who has so generously supported The 2013 Catholic Service and Ministry Appeal – we are most grateful. If you haven’t had an opportunity to make a gift as yet, we hope you will prayerfully consider doing so now – every contribution is truly needed and appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
2013 Vacation Bible School: Mark your calendars now to join us for Vacation Bible School this year: “Where Kids Stand Strong for God!” The dates are set for July 21–24. We will be meeting each night at Lutheran Church of the Cross from 5:15 – 8:00 p.m. for a bible adventure, games and science experiments, in addition to song and praise. A light meal will be served on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. As an outreach service project, we are collecting canned goods (vegetables, fruit, and beans) for At the River Ministries. Watch for updates in the church bulletin.
Tornado Relief – Oklahoma: Thank you for your generous contributions for Tornado Relief in Oklahoma. We collected $900.72, that will be used to help with clean-up from this disaster. God loves a cheerful giver. II Cor. 9:7
