Uganda Sister Parish Collection – April 27-28th: Thank you all for all the help that has been collected especially for the local Church in Uganda, for helping the village chapels, the widows, the orphans and the needy students, and seminarians. A special collection for Uganda will take place on the weekend of April 27-28th, our CYO Sunday. God bless you abundantly – says Fr. Mujule.
CELEBRATING FIRST COMMUNION – Sunday 4/28/13: Let us pray for the candidates who will receive their First Communion on Sunday, April 28th, the CYO/PSR Youth Sunday. To the six first communion candidates: Brooklynn Burnett, Audrey Thompson, Jason Vizard, Alexiz Hernandez, Haily Mendoza, Heather Mendoza, we say: CHRIST LOVES YOU. JOINT MEETING: LEADERS OF 4 PARISH COUNCILS – Mon 4/29/13 at 6:30 PM: In line with the Bishop’s Pastoral letter concerning the Restructuring of Parishes in Belleville Diocese, St. Rose of Lima Parish, Metropolis, is now in PARTNERSHIP with the new Parish that will be formed out of the 3 Sister Parishes: Cairo, Mound City and Grand Chain. Fr. Mujule will meet the Parish Council Leaders of the four parishes, on Monday April 29th, at 6:30pm, at St. Rose of Lima Parish, Metropolis to map the way forward for the STRATEGIC PASTORAL MODEL for our partnership. CATHOLIC HOME MISSIONS COLLECTION – April 28-29th, 2013: This Appeal and Collection helps the Home Missions in USA, including here in Belleville Diocese, by supporting the special formation of seminarians, home mission priests and lay ministers to better attend to the unique needs of their respective faith communities. Mass Insert Cards: The Mass insert cards have been removed from the missals in the pews. All of the updated responses are printed in the missal. You are encouraged to fully participate in the Mass with the responses printed for your use.
