The bulletins for March 31, 2013 (Easter Sunday) and April 7, 2013 (Second Sunday of Easter) have been posted on the St. Rose of Lima Bulletins page and on the Bulletins for Catholics in Alexander and Pulaski Counties page.
Here is the list of announcements from the St. Rose of Lima bulletins:
Uganda Sister Parish Collection – April 27-28th: Fr. Mujule would like to thank you all for all the help that has been collected especially for the local Church in Uganda, for helping the village chapels, the widows, the orphans and the needy students, and seminarians. In line with Pope Francis call for the Church to help the poor and the weak, we are being invited to help again with a special collection for Uganda, it will take place on the weekend of April 27-28th, our CYO Sunday. God bless you abundantly – says Fr. Mujule.
Belleville Diocese Pastoral Renewal and Restructuring of Parishes: The Bishop of Belleville Diocese has issued an Official Document with details outlining the Diocesan Pastoral Renewal and Restructuring of Parishes and Diocesan Departments. Please check on Diocesan website www.diobelle.org and St Rose of Lima Parish website www.strosemetropolis.com for more details. St. Rose Church is now in Partnership with another Parish – i.e. the new Parish that will be formed after the 3 parishes Cairo, Mound City and Grand Chain have merged into one parish.
COPE – Special Request: For the month of April, we will be collecting “Jiffy” corn muffin mix. Our Parish goal is 200 boxes. This is an inexpensive item, that many families use and enjoy. So, please give generously! God Bless You!
Catholic Relief Services: Amen I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least brothers of mine, you did for me. (Matthew 25:40) Today, we are reminded of the gospel message to love all of our brothers and sisters around the world and treat them with respect. The Catholic Relief Services Collection sees Jesus in victims of human trafficking, those who seek to change unjust laws, and those who need pastoral care and humanitarian relief across the globe. How will you help Jesus in disguise?
