We offer thanksgiving prayers to God for Pope Benedict’s eight years of pastoral leaderhip of the Church. Pope Benedict XVI resigned Thursday, February 28, due to poor health. He said he will spend more time in prayer, praying for the entire church and the world. As church community we also pray that God may send His Holy Spirit to the Cardinals’ meeting (called the Conclave) in Rome so that they may choose a new Pope, a new pastor of the Catholic Church. O Yes, When God chooses to raise, He raises up a leader for His people – says Tobit 4:19
